Fire & Ice Therapeutic Massage is hiring full time and part time massage therapists!

As an employee of Fire & Ice Therapeutic Massage, your duties will include treating clients by using touch to manipulate the soft-tissues of the body. Your goal as a therapist is to relieve pain, help rehabilitate injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Provide 30 to 120 minute massages for appointment holders and walk-ins at our location with 15 minute intercessions in between appoints.

Talk with clients about their symptoms, medical history, and desired results. Guide clients through our service offerings and help them choose the types of massages that would benefit them most.

Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body. Listen to clients during massages and adjust your technique to meet their needs.

Use hands, fingers, forearms, or elbows to knead or manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body.

Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture. Suggest massage schedules for recurring sessions.

Document client’s condition and progress.

Education, Experience & Travel Required:

Current and valid state license for massage therapy is required.

Minimum of 2 years of massage experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Preferred experience in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Prenatal, and Neuromuscular massage.

Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Therapists with 5+ years of experience will have the opportunity to teach continuing education.

Therapists also have the opportunity to receive free in house continuing education and/or credit towards seeking outside classes.


Physical Demands:

Massage appointments are scheduled with 15 minutes in between each client. Massage Therapists must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with stressful situations.


Compensation:

Guaranteed hourly pay plus commission and tips, with increases commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Employee status.

One week of paid vacation after one year with at least 35 scheduled hours a week. (These are available hours, not hours worked.)

Monthly incentives based on rebooking.

Annual bonuses based on individual performance.
